The Harsh Truth About Emotionally Unavailable Men
Apr 28, 2023
Emotionally unavailable men: Do they really exist? This is a controversial topic, but it's time to debunk this myth. As a dating coach, I've received numerous messages from women asking for advice on how to deal with men who are emotionally unavailable. However, I can tell you that in 99.9% of cases, it's not because the man is emotionally unavailable, but because of an underlying motivation or cause.
Before we dive into the details, let's define what emotionally unavailable means. It's when a man gives mixed signals, doesn't commit, and doesn't connect with you emotionally. You feel like you're not building a bond or connection that's necessary for a future with a partner. But here's the thing: you can't remove emotions from someone. We all have emotions, but they might not be accessible to you.
When a man is emotionally unavailable, it doesn't mean that he's incapable of having emotions or that he's a robot. It just means that you're not the one who brings out those emotions in him. A lot of times, women will see their exes with another woman, and he's suddenly emotionally available. It's not that he's changed or that the new woman is special. It's that he's found someone who brings out those emotions in him.
Now, there are extreme cases where a man might be emotionally unavailable, such as when he's dealing with the loss of a loved one or has a chronic mental illness. But in most cases, the problem is not emotional unavailability, but something else entirely.
Some of the phrases that these men might use include, "I'm not ready for a relationship right now," or "I don't know what I want." These phrases can be confusing because the man might still be physically attracted to you and might even enjoy spending time with you. However, he's not committed to building a future with you.
In many cases, men will settle for physical intimacy instead of being alone until they find the woman they want to spend their life with. This can be a harsh truth to hear, but it's important to know so that you don't waste your time with men who aren't interested in a long-term relationship.
There's also another type of man who is emotionally immature. These men don't know how to handle their emotions and might even think that showing emotions is a sign of weakness. While it's important for men to be in control of their emotions, it's also important to establish a deep connection with someone.
So, what's the bottom line? Emotionally unavailable men don't really exist. Instead, men might not be interested in a long-term relationship with you or might not know how to handle their emotions. If you're dealing with a man who is emotionally unavailable, it's important to take a step back and evaluate the situation. Is he really emotionally unavailable, or is there something else going on?
